About us

Helsinki Film Lab has quickly become a meeting point for the film, TV, games, animation and publishing industries. We have co-curated cross-media summits, launched fully booked Film × Game and Game × Book matchmaking formats, and built new spaces for producers, studios, writers, game developers and IP owners to explore collaboration, adaptation and licensing opportunities.

Our talks, masterclasses and industry sessions have been presented at international platforms including WAVES Bazaar / International Film Festival of India in Goa, Thessaloniki Agora, Seriencamp, Filmfest München / Munich International Film Festival, European Film Market and Pocket Gamer Connects. HFL programmes and events have featured leading creative and transmedia voices including Eeva Aaltonen (Rovio), Petri Alanko (Remedy), Ann Austen (Robocop, Power Rangers, Barbie/Netflix), Antti J. Jokinen (Kalevala, Purge), Joni Lappalainen (Dreamloop), Kurt McClung (Goldilocks), Christian Fonnesbach (Leverage) and others.

Through accelerators, curated matchmaking, masterclasses and hands-on labs, HFL helps creative companies test new formats, build cross-industry partnerships and turn stories and IP into new market opportunities.
